Jorge Posada was supposed to be the New York starting catcher tonight, but was injured during practice before the game. Yankee catcher Kelly Stinnet hit Posada in the nose while tossing a ball around. Posada had to be helped off the field, but should be back in action soon.

Bernie Williams went 3 for 3 with a monster home run, a double, and a single.

Yankee right-fielder Garcia hit a two-run home run which broke apart a three-three tie.
