Notes:

Mussina was fabulous! He struck out eight batters in five brilliant innings! In an interview with ESPN reporters, Mussina said he was surprised that he felt so well in mid-March. Everything was working... his fastball had great velocity, his breaking-ball broke perfectly, etc...

Cano continues to do well throughout spring training, gathering three more hits to bring his ST batting average to .341.

If the Yankees ever have an outfield injury during the regular season and need a minor league replacement, Mitch Jones is the man to go to. He blasted to more home runs ( his third and fourth of spring training), and made two excellent throws from the outfield.

Yankees Spring Training Record: 7 wins, 8 losses ( Spring training is officially half-way done!)
