The Captain Leads His Team to Victory over the D'Rays

Derek Jeter lead the Yankee offense tonight, going 3 for 5 with a two-run home run to right field. Jeter is now batting an astounding .391, which is the second highest batting average in the major leagues.

Mike Mussina pitched very well for the fifth time in a row, going six strong innings.

The Yankees had 13 hits tonight; Jorge Posada was the only Yankee batter without a hit.

  • Yah, but the D'Rays are horrid. How would the Yankees fare against the Red Sox? Or the White Sox? Or the KC Royals? OK, so the Royals are losers. Can't help it that I live about ten minutes from their stadium.

  • I think the Yankees will do fine against the BoSox. I mean the Red Sox lost 7 to 1 last night... They're having trouble producing runs.
