Farnsworth- H, BB, R, .1IP

In the fourth inning, Derek Jeter made a very costly error on a ball that should have been an inning-ending double play. Instead, no outs were recorded and the A's scored 2 unearned runs.
Later in the eighth inning, Robinson Cano committed an error which led to three more unearned runs.

The Yankee pitching wasn't that bad, giving up only four earned runs ( same as the Oakland pitching staff).

Matsui continued his hot hitting with a second inning solo-home run. Gary Sheffield belted a three-run home run in the third inning to give the Yanks an early 4-0 lead.

The Athletics win the series, two games to one. The Yanks did out-score the A's, 22 to 15.
