Shawn Chacon pitched another great game, allowing only one run on four hits over 6 and a third innings pitched. Mariano Rivera picked up his third save of the season after getting a loss during last night's game. The Yankee's pitching staff has allowed fewer runs, home runs, and walks than any other pitching staff this season!

Derek Jeter went 3 for 3, driving in a run with an RBI double in the 7th. Jeter is now batting .408, the second best batting average in the majors ( after Miguel Tejeda).

Hideki Matsui broke his 4 for 38 slump with a two-run, tie-breaking single in the sixth inning.
