Randy Johnson was beaten up by the Blue Jays, allowing 7 earned runs on 9 hits! Johnson had a 4-0 lead going into the bottom of the first, but could not hold on.

Alex Rodriguez had his fourth homer of the year (a two-run shot), and Jason Giambi had his fifth homer (a solo shot).

Johnny Damon was magnificent in center field tonight, making some incredible catches. Twice, he robbed Vernon Wells of an extra-base hit by slamming into the outfield wall to make the catch.

This game was one of the worst Yankee games I have ever watched. The pitching was horrendous- the Yanks giving up a total of 10 runs. The offense sagged- the Yankees left 10 runners on base and hit into 2 rally-crushing double plays. Even the defense wasn't great- Giambi making a terrible throw which enabled a runner to score and Sheffield dropping a fly ball (the runner eventually came around to score).
