Jaret Wright did not pitch that poorly; he managed to keep the Yankees in the game for the first five innings. Scott Proctor gave up a three-run home run in relief; Sturze also gave up a home run.

The Yankees had ten hits and four walks but failed to cash in on them. The Yankees scored their only runs on Bernie Williams' two-run home run in the sixth inning.

Aaron Small will return from to the team tomorrow, supporting either the bullpen or the back end of the starting rotation.
