Another Great Performance by Mussina Spoiled by Yankees' Lack of Offense

Game date- 5/15/06

Rangers- 4, Yankees- 2

W- Millwood (4-3)
L- Farnsworth (1-1)
S- Otsuka (5)

Yankee right fielder, Bubba Crosby, make a spectacular catch in the fifth inning, keeping at least two Texas runners from scoring.

Yankee Starting Lineup:

CF- Damon, 0-4
SS- Jeter, 1-4 (1B)
1B- Giambi, 1-3 (1B)
3B- Rodriguez, 1-4 ( 2B, R)
2B- Cano, 2-4 (1B, 1B, RBI, R)
C- Posada, 0-4
DH- Williams, 0-3
RF- Crosby, 1-3 (1B, RBI)
LF- Cabrera, 0-3

Yankee Pitchers:

Mussina- 6H, 2R, BB, 5K, 7IP
Farnsworth- 3H, 2R, BB, K, IP
Proctor- H, K, IP

Mike Mussina had a very solid outing for the Yankees, pitching seven complete innings. But the Yankees failed to score more then two runs against Kevin Millwood.

Robinson Cano had two hits and batted in a run; Bubba Crosby also had an RBI hit and made a spectacular catch in right field (above). But the Yankees have really struggled scoring runs without Sheffield and Matsui; the team has scored only 2.3 runs per game over their last four games.
