Notes:

Once again, Randy Johnson did not pitch well, giving up 5 runs on 9 hits ( two home runs). He did strike out a season high 8 batters and pick up his sixth win of the year. The rest of the Yankee bullpen was pretty effective ( besides Proctor who gave up a solo home run to Ramirez). Farnsworth struck out David Ortiz with the bases loaded and two outs in the eighth inning. Rivera came in and pitched a one-two-three inning to pick up his 10th save of the year.

Melky Cabrera batted in a career-high 4 runs, and Terrence Long picked up his first two Yankee hits including a two-run single. Every Yankee batters (besides Stinnet) had at least one hit.
