Yankees Doing Something Wright

Johnny Damon led off the game with a solo home run to right field; he also doubled and scored again later in the 3rd. Jeter had two hits and drove in two runs. Rodriguez hit a three-run home run off of Tim Wakefield in the 7th inning.

Jaret Wright pitched very well through 5 innings, but the New York bullpen did not fare so well. Proctor and Farnsworth gave up a total of five runs through two innings of work... Rivera had to come in to get the final five outs and pick up his 9th save.
