Damon's 10th Inning Homer Powers Yanks Over Orioles

Johnny Damon crosses home plate after hitting the game-winning solo home run in the tenth inning off of Baltimore closer, Chris Ray.

Randy Johnson got off to a rough start, giving up 3 runs (including a homer) to the O's in the first inning. But he settled down and pitched well throughout the next 6+ innings. Proctor gave up the game-tying run in the eighth inning, blowing a save opportunity, but Chien Ming Wang picked up the save after the Yanks went ahead in the tenth inning.

Johnny Damon had a huge night, with three hits including the game-winning solo homer in the tenth off of Chris Ray. Andy Phillips hit another home run, his third of the year.
