Sloppy Defense from Fish Helps Yankees Pick up Win

Due to three Marlin errors and several more sloppy plays, the Yankees eeked out a one-run victory. Chien Ming Wang pitched fairly decently over seven innings, and Rivera shut the door in the ninth.

Andy Phillips hit his first major league triple, and Jorge Posada drove in three runs for New York.
